New Direction

Here I go! I have been wanting to find a way to use metal and wood in my books and this is my first real effort. I will be making a wooden/metal structure to hold the small (2.75 inch by 2.5 inch) case bound book in the foreground. I found the metal nails on the beach in the middle of an old bonfire and the copper wire was picked up from the floor of a metal salvaging yard. Such treasures right in my own backyard. I had drill press lessons today but decided to use the far less intimidating (and far less noisy) option of the hand drill. No problem. I am still fiddling with ideas for the "attic" and I know that I cannot force these inspirations, they will come in their own time. I may need to take a long walk and look for roadside treasures.
