I have just finished my first mini-books! These are just the cutest things and every woman/girl should have a pair! I've been working on book projects for Arts Alive in September and have always wanted to make little books. There is nothing like a deadline to get me going. The books contain 20 pages of quotes about books (font size 6!). These case bound books (same structure as larger books) are covered with hand decorated paper. For book covers, I used my paste papers in the upper set and the book at the bottom. For the second pair of earrings I used marbled paper I picked up at a workshop. The text is sewn with a simple pamphlet stitch. The Swarovski crystals and beading supplies are from our wonderful local bead store, Heart Bead. I visited with Laura for a beading refresher and found out that she also makes miniature books but just hadn't thought of making them into jewelry! How about a workshop on wearable books?
