Johannesburg, South Africa

Our first day in Africa was spent in Johannesburg. We took a tour of Soweto, something we never did when we lived in South Africa in 1993. Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and Winnie Mandela all have homes in the township. It is also the home of Regina Mundi (Queen of the World), the Catholic Church that served as a sanctuary during the Uprising.
