Austin is learning how to paddle the kayak from his grandfather, Rollie.

He takes quickly to paddling and takes off down the beautiful Eel River. Temperatures are in the low 90's, a stark contrast to the 60's in Arcata.
Ryan thinks this is mighty fine. He gives the whole experience a thumbs up, something he also did yesterday with the Larrupin's mustard sauce on his bagel.
Holly takes to the water. Paddling upstream was easy because the wind was at her back.
Austin on his way down the Eel. He may make it to the Pacific Ocean because he really enjoyed swimming with the life vest.
We were starving! Back in Fortuna for organic beer, chicken strips & french fries, big juicy hamburgers, and a toasted CRAB!! sandwich. Yum.
